360 degree light-painting

29 Aug 2015

*** NEW Youtube channel: www.youtube.com/ericpare ***

As opposed to my usual 360 degree work using 32 cameras, these are made with only one camera, but a full 360 degree spinning light. Models have to stay still for 2 to 3 seconds while the light does a complete circle around them. No other source of light is used. This is a very different shooting for me where this time I did not create the light-painting by hand. Of course, this allows me to get a perfect circle shape, but on the other hand, it's not simple to get a good angle / pose because of the constraint of the light that has to point up at the model. These were quick tests. I'll come back to this tool when things will get less crazy... somewhere in November I guess ;)
