The Light Forest

27 Jun 2017

*** Check out our new tube totorial: https://youtu.be/IwRKN_8Aql4 ***

Here's a side project we've been working on for a while. The Light Forest is a set of LED strip inside acrylic tubes. It's a DIY solution for our continuous light needs. We're currently using those mostly for video projects, but for this project, I wanted to see what kind of results I could get for photography. Let me know if you would be interested in having a tutorial on how to build these lights.

Created at the Xangle Studios, with the help of Christian Dion

These are the same lights we used for our recent R12 demo

And these are 360 degree samples using an early version of the trees

Test shot! We're up and running!! ::)) 360° #bullettime with @kimhenry.dance @ericparephoto #montreal #livemontreal #studio #360interval

When the beautiful @reneerobynphotography is modeling for me 😀😀😀 ... we're still in test mode at the #xanglecam studio. We're trying to reduce the number of cables... then we'll cover everything :) #bullettime #ericpare360 #montreal
