The Art of Human Stillness and Dancing Light
For over a decade, my work has focused on combining passions for light painting, landscape photography, and performing art. Central to this practice is Night Reflection, a long-term body of work created in collaboration with contemporary dancer Kim Henry.
We use light painting to magnify reality, transforming the landscapes into ethereal, hand-lit environments. Our process is a performance of precision: a single frame captured in the silence of the night, where light is sculpted by hand to enhance the mystery and vastness of the setting. This practice is entirely "in-camera," relying on physical performance and long exposures rather than post-production manipulation.
Beyond the technical execution, our art explores altered states of consciousness and the relationship between the human form and the environment. Our work has been showcased globally, ranging from digital takeovers in Times Square to specialized photography festivals and international art fairs.
